How many GM's think they will actually make the playoffs that are out of a playoff spot?
Do any of you guys not care cause you are tanking for draft picks first year of the league?

If my team continues to suck then I'll be around 8-6th in the conference. Likley buyer at the deadline, but with some quality youth to deal.

Sorry i meant pro team, not farm I'm making the playoffs this year. Ya just not in NNHL. 13 wins in 57 games isnt a good start. In fact your 1st rounder is looking like gold, wich you own along with Tampa who is also not gonna sniff the playoffs. Make life easier and go for the Islanders 1st rounder.  |

Preds are in contention for one of the final spots, though we don't really have the assets to go out and get a goal scorer to help take some of the pressure off of Rinne.

Yes Jim, since I took your advice on Semin I have been red hot and am now on the inside looking out. Varlomov has been hands down the best goaltender in the AHL and his recall is coming, he is now a 70 OV and has superior skill then both goaltenders currently in Washington. Washington is in the market for a 2nd line RW, we made an attempt on Brendan Morrow but found the price too steep.
I believe Washington will be in the top 8 when the playoffs begin.

Varlomov has been hands down the best goaltender in the AHL and his recall is coming, he is now a 70 OV and has superior skill then both goaltenders currently in Washington. Most AHL goaltenders got their stats jacked up, somethings wrong with it. |

Yeah, something happened with the goalies on farmt eams, I have no idea what. It makes no sense though, I'm going to have to come up with a way to change it.

Preds have been playing well lately, especially the third line of Jones-Bergeron-Ward. 8-2 in the last 10 games to move into a tie for 6th in the Western Conference.
